I was so disappointed with ghds

My first ever review!!!!! I was so disappointed with this ghds; I wanted to write a review.
My old IV ghd's died after 5 faithful years of use and loyalty. I knew I would buy another set of ghds but wanted to treat myself to one of the many designs/colours on the market now. Before buying a replacement pair, I read the reviews on this item. I was a bit put off by the reviews that said the straighteners didn't meet but because I liked how these ones were presented/packaged, I decided to give them a try anyway. Unfortunately, the bad reviews were right. These straighteners are a huge disappointment. I loved the idea, the packaging and how it looked. I have no complaints about that. BUT the straighteners don't meet properly. There is a gap of a few millimetres between the plates. They only meet at the tip! I tried using them anyway, just in case it didn't make a difference on the performance and end result. Well, it did make a difference. They pulled at my hairs at the only part the plates met, at the tip. They didn't straighten my hair properly at all. They seemed to glide over my hair without ironing it to straighten it. I had to take thick sections of hair in order to get the straighteners to straighten it properly. If you are new to ghds and haven't used them before, you might think it's how they are supposed to work. It isn't! :-(

FINALLY - I have found a pair of heels that work for me! I am hopeless when it comes to wearing heels; I simply cannot walk in them if they are over 3in high. These Christian Louboutin shoe were so easy to walk in and still looked sexy. The first occasion I wore them I was on my feet for almost five hours, including dancing, and my feet still felt pretty good by the end of the night. I was wearing tights so my feet slid forward more than usual and there was some pressure on my toes from the toe being pointed, but overall, not too bad. I wore them again last night for a company holiday party (this time without tights) and my feet stayed in place and remained comfortable for the whole night. My favorite parts of these Christian Louboutin are the cushioning on the inside, more than any other heel I've worn, and the rubber grip on the sole and heel that make my steps feel steady on hard surfaces and carpet alike. I would highly recommend them.
